Recent Name Change
We are SAFE on Main, previously ARCS.
Although the ‘Abuse Rape Crisis Shelter’ certainly describes a vital service provided in our community, that name fails to adequately cover the scope of services delivered, including prevention education.
"SAFE" stands for Stopping Abuse For Everyone, and "Main" identifies the location of our headquarters at 420 East Main Street, Lebanon. There is a Main Street in every community, and our name symbolizes the fact that all communities face the challenges associated with Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.
SAFE on Main provides comprehensive legal and shelter services to abuse survivors, and provides prevention education in schools regarding healthy relationships, character building, and sexual assault prevention.
